If you frequently board the MRT, this news might please you. Recently, Rapid Rail announced MRT Taman Mutiara will resume service after the fire incident yesterday. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, Rapid Rail shut down the service for the station at 5 pm yesterday (April 14) for safety reasons. This was done after thick smoke was reportedly sighted in the station’s telecommunications room. As a result, trains skipped the Taman Mutiara station and feeder buses were provided.

In addition, the staff and auxiliary police (Polis Bantuan) assisted in crowd control during the incident. Thankfully, nobody was harmed. Rapid Rail says the investigation for the cause of fire is still ongoing.

Moreover, the MRT service for Taman Mutiara station is back as usual. You can expect a peak time frequency of five minutes or 10 minutes outside of peak hours. However, the screens showing train arrival info aren’t working at the moment. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out.
