A single cable type will make life easier for any device owner. This is true for computers as they usually feature separate ports for power and data. Following in the footsteps of Apple, ASUS has now featured the USB Type-C connector on their latest Chromebook Flip C302 for both power and data.

The Flip C302 features a 360 degree hinge so that the device can turn from a laptop to a tablet with, well, a flip. It has a 12.5-inch FHD touch-screen display, is powered by Intel’s latest processors, and supports up to 8GB of RAM. It also comes with three storage options – 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB. Plus, there is a microSD slot if you need more space. First for ASUS is the new “solid scissor cut design” of the keyboard, as well as a new trackpad on the Chromebook.

If you are looking to find one for yourself, get ready to cough up USD 499 (~RM 2245) to own one. No news as of yet when or if ASUS Malaysia will be bringing this to the Malaysian market, so stay tuned to TechNave for more information soon.
