A few hours ago, ASUS unveiled the new Zenfone 11 Ultra and if you felt like you had seen it before, that's because the ROG Phone 8 series has the same design concept. In fact, even the tech specs are quite similar.
For starters, the Zenfone 11 Ultra features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, alongside 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The AMOLED display is quite big too, measuring 6.78 inches with lots of high-end features. This includes up to a 144Hz refresh rate with LTPO 1~120Hz, up to 2500nits peak brightness, HDR10 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Meanwhile, the triple rear camera consists of a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera + 32MP telephoto + 13MP ultrawide camera. The primary camera has 2x lossless zoom and OIS, the same goes for the telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The front camera uses a 32MP sensor too with an RGBW sensor. Finally, the battery pack is 5500mAh and supports up to 65W HyperCharge technology.
Besides the similar traits with the ROG Phone 8 series, the feature that separates them is the AI usage. The Zenfone 11 Ultra has an AI Semantic Search to make searching easier and AI Noise Cancellation for clearer network calls. AI Call Translator, Transcript and Wallpaper are currently in beta mode.
It is unknown if ASUS Malaysia plans to import the Zenfone 11 Ultra here. In the US, the starting price is $899 which is roughly ~RM4229 after a direct currency conversion. Well, we can only wait and see.
