Along with the Liquid Z series smartphones, Acer also unveiled a brand new smartband and a Windows 8.1 powered smartphone. The new Acer Liquid Leap+ will succeed last year's smartband model. The Leap+ features a 1-inch OLED display with 128 x 32 pixel resolution. The smartband can show information such as data from inbuilt sensors, notifications and even music controls. It can calculate the distance travelled, calories burned and even pool activity as it is water proof. Acer claims that the smartband will last up to 7 days on a single charge. The Acer Liquid M220 on the other hand is a Windows 8.1 powered smartphone, featuring modest tech specs. However, the highlight of the device is its Windows 10 compatibility. Tech specs include a 1.2GHz dual core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of expandable storage. There will be a small 4-inch display up front which will have a pixel density of just 233 ppi. A 1300 mAh battery will power all these specs. The M220 Windows phone will come in mystic black and pure white. Both the Leap+ and the Liquid M220 will be available for sale in Europe, Africa and Middle Eastern countries for a price tag of 79 Euros (RM320) but they could get a Malaysia release date or pricing details later on.
