Last I heard, Energizer is a battery company with a few interesting gadgets on the side. Little did I know the company is planning on bringing their own smartphones with a whopping 18000mAh battery, foldable display and pop up camera to MWC 2019. As cool as that sounds, those three will be different phone variants (aww!).
Energizer will be introducing 4 smartphone lines, which are Power Max, Ultimate, Energy and Hardcase. The company tweeted out of those 4 lines, there will be 26 different variants of the smartphone. If you’re interested in large battery capacities, the 18000mAh line is for you, which is currently the largest battery capacity on the market thus far. Like the idea of a larger screen to body ratio with pop up cameras and waterdrop displays? Well, the Ultimate line is for you then.

Some details of the devices have been revealed, namely, their flagship series. Energizer Ultimate U620S Pop and Energizer Ultimate U630S Pop variants may be powered by MediaTek Helio P70 and P22 SoCs and may feature a dual selfie camera housed in the pop up mechanism with a 16MP main camera as well as a 2MP depth sensor. The U620S may sport a triple rear camera setup with 16MP, 5MP and 2MP sensors with tech specs of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Meanwhile, the U630S may sport 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
So far, no Malaysia release date or Malaysia pricing has been revealed but we do know that the U620S will be launched in July and the U630S in June. So far, from images, the smartphones with the pop up camera on top does look like a fat battery which is pretty appropriate, given the company’s reputation.
Honestly, I can’t imagine what the phones would look like, especially the foldable ones and my guess is that the phones would be pretty thick and heavy to house the 18000mAh battery capacity. What do you think? For more interesting smartphone news, TechNave.com is the place to look out for!
