BlackBerry Aurora announced with dual SIM capability, 4GM RAM, 5.5-inch HD display and more

Just last night, BlackBerry has officially revealed the BlackBerry Aurora, a mid-range device that is specifically made and sold in our neighbouring country, Indonesia. As the first device to be produced through a licensing deal between BlackBerry and BB Merah Putih last September, its price tag is set to IDR 3,499,000 (around RM1165) and below is the official specifications:

  • Snapdragon 425 chipset, 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU, and Adreno 308 GPU
  • 4GB RAM
  • 32GB internal storage (expandable memory available)
  • Measures 152 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm, weighs 178 grams
  • 5.5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 resolution 
  • 13MP rear camera (LED flash) / 8MP front camera
  • Features DTEKTM security, BlackBerry Hub, Dual SIM slots,
  • Supports 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity
  • Android 7.0 Nougat
  • 3000 mAh

Like most BlackBerry phones, it comes loaded with DTEKTM security app which can tell the user whether their phone is secretly being accessed by someone else. Ironically, there is not fingerprint sensor to be seen on the phone.
