The Google Camera app has been renamed to “Pixel Camera” on the Google Play Store by Google, putting further emphasis on the Pixel branding. The app, which is exclusive to Pixel devices, has now changed its name across the lineup and will automatically change on Pixel devices once it is updated to Android 14.

On Google Play Store, the app description has also been updated with the Pixel Camera name, including phrases such as “Never miss a moment with the fully redesigned Pixel Camera,” and more. The Pixel Camera app v9.0 is now available for the Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet and Pixel 7 Pro, while the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro get v9.1.

It is worth noting that the Pixel Camera app only runs on Pixel devices running Android 14 and above, while the version for Wear OS will only work on devices running Wear OS 3 and above and connected to Pixel smartphones. So, what do you guys think of the change?
