HTC offshoot Kazam announces first 7 Android smartphones

Kazam is a company consisting of ex-HTC executives who broke off from the company to create another smartphone company. According to them, they wanted to offer "stunning design, robust hardware, and intuitive technology underpinned with improved customer service". The company has since announced 7 new smartphones, 2 of which are slotted for their higher-end Kazam Thunder range and another 5 for their lower-end Trooper range. Both the Thunder and Trooper models don't really have very impressive tech specs so we're guessing that the Thunder is aimed at the midrange while the Troopers are for the entry-level. So far, tech specs for the Kazam Thunder Q4.5 include a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 4.5-inch 854 x 48 resolution display, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 4GB of storage plus microSD support. The other Kazam Thunder will be called the Q5.0 which could have a 5-inch screen but other tech specs for that model haven't been revealed just yet.

The Kazam Trooper X3.5, X4.0, X4.5, X5.0 and X5.5 smartphones on the other hand offer screen sizes from 3.5-inch and 480 x 320 pixel resolutions to 5.5-inch screens with 854 x 480 pixel resolutions. Processors for the Trooper range start from 1GHz dual-core processors and bump up to 1.2GHz dual-core processors for the higher-end Trooper models. Each of the Kazam Troopers are dual-SIM, have 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and ANdroid 4.2. Looking to offer something else different from other smartphone manufacturers, Kazam offers a one-year warranty with a replacement for your Kazam smartphone should you shatter the phone screen. Not much to shout about the design though as they look about as generic as any other smartphone. Again, no news on Malaysia release dates or pricing but they should be available in Malaysia eventually.
