Introduced earlier this year, the Huawei Talkband B1 is the company's first smart wearable device in the market. Offering a 2-in-1 combo in terms of functionality, the smartband is a combination smartwatch fitness tracker and bluetooth headset all in one. It does this by popping out of the wristband and then sticking into your ear like any other bluetooth headset. We managed to get a hands-on with the device but here are the tech specs for now:

The Huawei Talkband B1 actually consists of a curved OLED screen display on top of a headset embedded into a silicon wristband. The headset is quite light at 9.8g and should stay in your ear quite well. Build quality for the headset is quite good and it can take a drop or two with no damage.

The silicon wristband actually has a built-in charger with a USB insert on one end of the straps. Unlike some other smartbands the Talkband B1 does not have a touchscreen and is instead controlled by a single button. To input fitness goals and fitness tracking features you have to use the Huawei Talkband app which can be downloaded for free off Google Play. The Huawei Talkband B1 is priced in Malaysia at RM499. We'll be doing a video review of the Huawei Talkband B1 so stay tuned for more developments.
