Huawei enters Malaysia's 2017 Top 10 Brand Advocacy Ranking

This year has been quite a ride for Huawei, not only have they released a few successful sold-out smartphones from three different lineups, but YouGov BrandIndex, an authoritative measure of brand perception has placed Huawei as one of the top 10 of Malaysia's 2017 Top 10 Brand Advocacy Ranking, which got a score of 68.2 points. Along with Apple, both are the only two smartphone brands that made it to the top 10.

That's not all, in the Top 10 Advocacy Improvers, Huawei scored the top spot with a total of 20.6 points for 'Change in Score'. Meaning that comparing with its previous score last year, they made a huge jump from 47.6 points to 68.2 points which is very much impressive. Furthermore, Huawei is ahead of other international brands like Facebook, Nivea and Prudential in the Malaysian rankings.

In case you're wondering how does YouGov BrandIndex determine the list, it's basically their job to interview over 500 respondents that comprise of current and former customers of a given brand, with those typical questions such as "Would you recommend the brand to a friend or colleague?", “Would you tell a friend or colleague to avoid the brand?” and others for 258 brands. The latest Top Advocacy interviews were done during the period between 1 November 2016 and 31 October 2017, all brands had been tracked for at least six months during the survey period.
