Nokia 2 officially released announced with large 4100 mAh battery from €99 (RM490)

HMD has finally announced the Nokia 2, the latest budget Nokia smartphone to hit the shelves with standard specs and even more standard prices The upcoming budget device was announced to be launched into the masses in mid-November this year.

The Nokia 2 will be rocking these standard specs:

  • 5-inch HD display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB expandable memory
  • 8MP main camera, 5MP front camera
  • 4100 mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

The large 4100 mAh battery of the Nokia 2 is reported to able to last a whole 2 days before requiring charging. With these specs, its actually quite believable. It will also be available in 3 colours - Copper Black, Pewter Black, and Pewter White.

It was also reported that the device will come with Android Nougat, but an Oreo update is under development and is confirmed to be coming to the Nokia 2 in the near future. Google assistant will also be made available for the Nokia 2 which may be the first ever entry level device to have this feature.

As mentioned before, the Nokia 2 is announced to come at an extremely low price of €99, which is the Malaysian equivalent of RM490. However according to PhoneArena, the US is expected to have an official price of $99 which is RM420; so we can expect the Malaysian price to be more or less around that range when it does come.

No Malaysian release dates were mentioned officially yet but since we have already received almost all the latest Nokia devices, the Nokia 2 shouldn’t be any exception. Stay tuned to TechNave.com for more updates.
