RIP Pixel 6a - Google takes the older variant off the official store as Pixel 8a launch comes closer

If you are a fan of Google Pixel phones, this news might surprise you. The giant tech company recently removed the Pixel 6a line from its official store. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, the model mentioned above appears on the official store only when you click the URL for it. As a result, the site automatically redirects you to the newer Pixel 7a instead. Interestingly, the phone is still available in other retailers and outlets. For instance: Amazon.

In addition, we could understand why Google did this. As we near the launch date for the Google Pixel 8a, it’s natural for the company to encourage the sale of the current gen. Reportedly, the Pixel 8a could arrive on 14 May 2014.

We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. Malaysian Pixel fans who are looking forward to owning the Pixel 7a could capitalise on this opportunity to get it now. Overall, we should wait for further confirmation from Google about the smartphone.
