Samsung Malaysia Electronics has just unleashed upon us their first of a kind, all new rewards programme for its mobile payment platform, Samsung Pay. Introducing Samsung’s very own Samsung Rewards.
Samsung Rewards works in a way just like any other point-based credit card programme. Every time you make a purchase with Samsung Pay, you will earn some well-deserved reward points. All you have to do is to activate and update Samsung Pay to the latest version upon which you will also earn 450 welcome points! Samsung Rewards also allows “double dipping” – which means that every credit card purchase made via Samsung Pay will still rack you some points, miles or cash back from their original card issuer as well Samsung Rewards points. Prepare for trouble, and make it double – double rewards I mean.
Like most loyalty programmes, Samsung Rewards is no different with their Gold, Silver and Bronze loyalty tiers which provides point multipliers depending on how often a user uses Samsung Rewards each month. More uses equal more rewards!
Still not good enough for you? Then get this - Samsung Rewards will also partner with retailers and other small businesses to provide users to earn additional points! As of right now, participating merchants are Juice Works, dal.komm Coffee, GSC, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Lazada, and Dominos.
What do you do with these reward points? You can redeem a Wireless Charger Stand, Battery Pack and the Gear S3 Frontier fresh from Samsung.
Samsung Pay currently supports MasterCard and VISA credit cards issued by CIMB, Citibank, Maybank, Standard Chartered and RHB Bank, along with a growing number of loyalty cards.
