After giving us many teasers, the Redmi Note 12 Pro series is here today. The series brings three devices, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, and Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition. It's worth mentioning they are three quite similar devices, with only specific tech specs being different.

All the models sport a 6.67-inch centred punch-hole OLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels (FHD+), a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 1920Hz PWM dimming, and a 16,000 level dimming. Under the hood, they get powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Furthermore, the Pro and Pro Plus pack a 5,000mAh battery, but the Explorer Edition only comes with one that has 4,300mAh. They support 67W, 120W, and 210W fast charging, respectively.

Some of the major differences are in the camera department. The Pro uses a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera. It's a 1/1.56-inch sensor with a 6P lens, f/1.88 aperture, and OIS. Meanwhile, the Pro Plus and Explorer Edition flaunt a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX primary camera, measuring 1/1.4-inch in size. It has a 7P lens, ALD coating, f/1.65 aperture, and OIS. Besides the primary camera, all the models share the same 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera. They also have an identical 16MP front-facing camera.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro series' price starts from 1,699 Yuan (~RM1,107) to 2,399 Yuan (~RM1,563). They will be available in Black, White, and Blue. However, the Pro has an extra Violet option, while the Explorer Edition has only one Black option. What do you think about the new Redmi Note 12 Pro devices?
