Apple surprise dropped the M2-powered iPad Pro earlier this week, and it's now the most powerful iPad in history. Powerful hardware should get powerful software to match. According to a rumour, the tech giant could bring macOS 14 to the tablet next year.

A leaker from Twitter, Majin Bu, revealed that Apple might be preparing a lighter version of the macOS 14 for the M2 iPad Pro. Not only that, but the tweet also mentioned the codename Mendocino and explained what this macOS experience would look like on an iPad. Therefore, it does look like a piece of trustable information.

Back to the experience, the leaker said something about a "25% larger macOS UI" that is optimized for touch screens. He added, "the apps will be those of the iPad; the system will be macOS." Furthermore, Bu mentioned that it "explains the arrival of DaVinci Resolve exclusively for M2 and the patent for a future version of iPadOS with the Mac graphics leaked earlier this year."

Apple is expected to present macOS 14 at the WWDC 2023. Therefore, we could only find out about it until then. Leave a comment to let us know what you think about this rumour, and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more tech rumours.
