Another year and another ASUS Fonepad 7, but wait, recent announcements have revealed that everything will be replaced by an ASUS ZenPad tablet with the ASUS ZenPad 8.0, ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad C. While the Malaysia release date is expected sometime in August or afterwards an anonymous tipster recently sent us pics of the ASUS ZenPad C along with the bumper casing. The pics reveal a slim and premium shape different from previous Fonepad and MeMo Pad tablets. The pics also reveal some features, such as DTS-HD audio technology, something which we'd hardly expect from an entry-level device like the ZenPad C. The tablet is also expected to have tech specs that include the latest 64-bit Intel Atom x3 or SoFIA processor adding that much more value to those who like making calls with tablets. Stay tuned for more developments and many thanks to the anonymous tipster.

The ASUS ZenPad C 7.0 recently got launched alongside the ASUS ZenPad 7.0 at the Zensationroadshow in Mid Valley Megamall. While you can go and check it out for yourself at Centre court, we managed to get the official bumper case for the ZenPad C 7.0 tablet. This bumper case is the same one Mr. Anonymous recently passed pics to us about and we've since done a hands-on video of the bumper case and the ZenPad C 7.0. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet on the bumper case but it is expected to arrive sometime in September 2015. The ZenPad C 7.0 itself was already revealed to be RM499 while the ZenPad 7.0 is going for RM749. Check it out in our video below and see if this is the type of protection you need for your ZenPad C 7.0 tablet phone.

Tablet phones or tablets with call capabilities have come a long way from the first days when people put 7-inch display devices to their ears. Apart from newer technologies, they have become thinner, slimmer and more compact, especially for the higher-end market. ASUS was one of the first to make such tablets for the entry-level market with their ASUS Fonepad tablets and now, they are replacing these well received devices with the new ASUS ZenPad range. Featuring the latest 64-bit Intel Atom x3 processors, dts-HD audio technologies and a more fashion conscious look and feel, the ASUS ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C) is the most entry-level device on the ZenPad tablet range. In this day and age when it isn't uncommon to see someone using a tablet phone to make a call does the ASUS ZenPad C really offer improvements over the earlier ASUS Fonepad 7? We find out in our full review of the ASUS ZenPad C 7.0 in this article.
