Rumours: LG G6 may ditch modularity for wireless charging and waterproofing?

LG_G5.jpgThe LG G5 smartphone was received moderately well across the world, but we feel that LG should step up a bit with their marketing with their phones in the upcoming year. We hope the LG G6 will be the phone that changes everything, as it is said to feature a different design, in line with many flagships out there.

The first feature that LG is said to take away from the G series is the modular design that was introduced in the G5. While the idea is notable, it pales in comparison with Motorola’s take on modularity – which is simpler and more effective. Of course, the fates of the current range of LG Friends may be in the balance with this potential announcement.

Next, we may see water proofing be part of the LG DNA pretty soon. As many flagships out there have either water-proof or at least water resistant designs, it is imperative that LG at least copy this design feature so that it can stand toe-to-toe with other high-end smartphones out there.

Will these two features be included in the upcoming flagship model of 2017 by LG? We have to wait and see – so stay tuned to TechNave for more information as it appears online.
