Samsung Malaysia Electronics recently launched their Culture Explorer app for Malaysia in tandem with their regional Culture.Connect campaign. While the campaign encourages the celebration of culture, the app utilizes Augmented Reality or AR to act as a virtual tour guide, highlighting cultural information and knowledge on heritage landmark sites here in Malaysia. The app also includes a 360 degree virtual tour, a navigation function using Google Maps and pictures of interesting heritage landmarks around the country.
