Samsung announced the new Samsung Galaxy Note, their new flagship android smartphone. The device is quite a make and I really fall for it on the first look itself. Honestly, when Galaxy S2 released in the market i told myself that one day I am gonna buy that device. But, yesterday i got the Google Alerts about Samsung and when I checked the mail it was about the new release of the Samsung Galaxy Note. It was Galaxy S2 on my mind till that moment but, after seeing the Samsung Galaxy Note I decided this is going to be my dream phone. Samsung Galaxy Note can be considered as Galaxy S3 specs wise. Hope Samsung wont release anything bigger than Note this year ‘cos the Galaxy S2 owners already started regretting their purchase after seeing the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Design & Build

Samsung Galaxy Note is a great device which blows the line of separation between Tablets and Smartphones. It has the all the features that both tablet and a smartphone have. The main attraction of the device is the extremely large 5.3” inch HD Super AMOLED 800 x 1280 pixels display which makes the device so special between other Smartphones. Of course we have the Dell Streak but, seems it is not released on the right time of technology. These days people are really getting more closer with the tablets and they are ready to accept a Smartphone come Tablet device like Samsung Galaxy Note.

Samsung Galaxy Note: OS

Samsung Galaxy Note is an Android OS device and is running on Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread). I strongly doubt update to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich v4.0 will be available for the Samsung Galaxy Note once it is out.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Processor & Memory

This is one of the powerful phone that is announced in 2011. The Samsung Galaxy Note is a successor of Galaxy S2 in all sense. The Galaxy Note has a Dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-400MP GPU, Exynos chipset. 1GB RAM and 2GB microSD card included (further expandable upto 32GB). There are two models available according the size of internal memory, 16GB/32GB version from which you can choose according to your need.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Battery

Samsung Galaxy Note is the first Smartphone which is loaded with the most powerful and capacity battery. The powerhouse is powered by a Li-Ion 2500 mAh, which is first time in a Smartphone. I am quite sure that once Samsung Galaxy Note is released it will be the Smartphone with highest talktime and standby time.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Camera & Video Call

There is no change in Samsung Galaxy Note compared to the Galaxy S2 when it comes to the camera part. Samsung Galaxy Note has the same 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash like in the Galaxy S2. The camera has all the features that a Digital Camera needs and can shoot videos of 1080p quality @30fps.

On the front, there is a 2MP camera which can be used for video calling over 3G and other network. I think the front camera on Samsung Galaxy Note support Skype HD video calling too.

Samsung Galaxy Note: S Pen Stylus / Wacom Stylus

Another great feature of Samsung Galaxy Note is the integrated stylus. Ah don’t think this is a resistive touch screen on this device of course it is the capacitive touch screen. The stylus lets you to take the notes, create drawings using the pre-installed ‘S Memo’ application. The stylus works like your finger and the point edge lets you select the option you actually needed rather than messing up with your finger. Capacitive screen friendly stylus are already available in the market but, it is always an extra accessory that is hard to carry around. The build in Stylus slot on Samsung Galaxy Note let’s you forget the additional accessory. The stylus is located on the bottom portion of the device.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Connectivity

Talking about other features; the phone support 3G HSDPA and also will be releasing this device in at least two configurations, those being LTE and HSPA+ connectivity options. It has EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth v3.0 for faster file transfer across devices. The device offers both NFC connectivity and NFC support. There is also an active noise cancellation system which offers better call quality even when you are in a crowd. The phone has a barometer sensor, supports TV out, have latest flash software. Samsung Galaxy Note is capable of playing any type of video and audio files.

Conclusion:

Whatever the price tag of the device may be the Samsung Galaxy Note is an exquisite device loaded with the great features. The powerful processor and the large HD Super AMOLED display really going to make the device sell like hot dog. All I want to tell you is go get it when it is released ‘cos it really worth it. At least you can save few bucks buying a new tablet. Samsung Galaxy Note – The 2 in 1 device.
