Samsung officially announced their new NX1 digital camera at the recent Photokina 2014 event. The Samsung NX1 incorporates a massive 28.2MP APS-C BSI CMOS sensor featuring new BSI pixel technology. This has resulted in better light absorption making pictures in daylight and sufficient lighting pop more while providing better looking images with less noise in low-light conditions. In addition, the 28.2MP camera sensor or S5KVB2 sensor enables features such as UHD or 4K video recording at 30fps and since it is made using a 65nm fabrication process, the sensor itself is very energy efficient.

The Samsung NX1 offers a number of other notable features including 15fps continuous AF shooting, an Auto Focus (AF) System III with 205 Phase Detection AF points for even faster shooting speed. In terms of tech specs the NX1 offers native ISO 100 ~ 25600 and extended ISO to 51200 with a built-in HEVC Codec (H.265). The magnesium alloy body is both durable and ergonomic with an XGA OLED EVF, a 3-inch FVGA Super AMOLED display and support for WiFi and Bluetooth. The camera itself weighs in at 550g and while there are still no Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, it does come with an NX mountable Samsung 50-150mm F2.8 S ED OIS Lens.
