Based on what we’ve seen from yesterday’s big reveal of Samsung’s financial result from the 2nd Quarter of 2017, it is no surprise that the Korean giants have beaten Intel in terms of their chip businesses.

Samsung has reported that their chip sales have racked up a total of $15.7B (RM67.2B) revenue compared to Intel’s $14.8B (RM63.3B) in the same quarter. This was also Intel’s highest record earnings in a quarter as well.

But did you know? Nobody has ever surpassed Intel in the chip business for more than 24 years and Samsung has managed to achieve that with only catering to mobile and wearable chipsets.

Samsung’s chip sales is expected to continue rising throughout 2017 as it was also reported that they will be developing chip solutions for automotive as well.

Looks like Samsung has all the reasons to celebrate this quarter. Make sure to stay tuned to TechNave.com for the juiciest scoops.
