Sony Xperia Z5 teardown by iFixit

At first glance, the Sony Xperia Z5 seems like a tough cookie to crack. But iFixit begs to differ, as they actually posted pictures stripping it down into pieces. They even tell you the steps of how to do so in their website.

The first thing they did was taking away the SIM card tray, then they proceeded to heaten the back cover so soften the adhesive holder. As you can expect, the back cover cracked open eventually but with proper tools needed (a suction cup and a metal tool). After that, use two copper heat pipes to cool down the chipset and other heat-generating components which you can see clearly. And then...well you can finish the process in the video below.

The Sony Xperia Z5 is the latest flagship in Sony’s tech arsenals with the best camera specs that can record a 4K video flawlessly. To recap the tech specs, it sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with 3GB of RAM, has 32GB internal storage, features a 5.2-inch with 1080p resolution, equipped with a massive 23MP main camera  along with the 5MP camera at front, and lastly carrying a 2900 mAh battery.
