U Mobile announces 1st phase of 4G LTE network expansion completed along with future plans

U Mobile recently announced that they have completed the 1st phase of their 4G LTE expansion 3 months ahead of schedule. This means more sites with 75Mbps U Mobile 4G LTE coverage in Malaysia across the Klang Valley, Putrajaya, Seremban, Port Dickson and Johor. Far from resting on their laurels, they also announced future expansion plans of 5000 new sites for Malaysia in the coming 5 years and 1000 new 3G sites in Malaysia by the end of the year. New technologies being worked on include pre-5G with Huawei, VoLTE (Voice-over LTE) and IMS. In tandem with these plans, U Mobile recently launched new plans with the HERO Postpaid P70 that offers 7GB of data for RM70 a month and the POWER Prepaid pack offering 1GB of free data every month for life.
