About two weeks back, Apple announced an event happening on 7 May 2024. Although we had no details at the time, we were quite sure there would at least be one new iPad. Well, Apple just unveiled the new iPad Air 2024 and there are two variants this time.
Anyway, let's take a look at what this model has to offer. For your info, Apple generally launches a new iPad Air every other year, with the last one launched in 2022. This time around, the iPad Air 2024 comes in two flavours. The first one features an 11-inch display, while the second one sports a much larger 13-inch screen.
Furthermore, both models are powered by the Apple M2 chip. Althought a 2-year-old chipset, the M2-powered iPad Air is expected to deliver up to 3x more performance than the previous iPad Air, making it a great option to upgrade to. In addition, the new iPad Air will support the Magic Keyboard and the new Apple Pencil Pro, which work well with productivity apps from the Pro Apps suite.
Prices for the 11-inch iPad Air start from RM2999, while the larger 13-inch model will set you back at least RM3999. Both are purchasable in the US starting today, but we're not sure when they'll be available in Malaysia. You can find out more from the Apple Malaysia website, but you can't make a purchase yet, so you'll have to wait for more updates.
