vivo V30 series 5G Malaysia release - 120Hz AMOLED, 80W charging & 50MP triple cameras from RM1999

vivo Malaysia today launched the highly-anticipated vivo V30 series 5G in our country. Comprising the vivo V30 5G and vivo V30 Pro 5G, read on to find out more about both devices. 

Let’s start with the higher-end variant, the V30 Pro 5G. Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

There’s also a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W charging via the USB-C port. Screen-wise, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, 2800 nits peak brightness and a punch-hole cutout for the 50MP selfie shooter.

The main camera setup is at the rear and features triple 50MP cameras, including a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP portrait lens. Other notable specs include an IP54 rating, Android 14 via Funtouch OS 14, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.3, an in-display fingerprint scanner and colour options of either Petals White or Noble Black.

As for the V30 5G, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 paired with either 12GB RAM and either 256 or 512GB storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W charging via the USB-C port. 

The display is a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution and a peak brightness of 2800 nits, as well as a punch-hole cutout to house the 50MP selfie shooter. The rear camera setup is a 50MP main + 50MP ultra-wide + 50MP portrait.
