    With the official release of the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus happening at 12am on 16 October 2015 we've put together a quick telco plan comparison according to below RM100 and above RM200 monthly commitment payments. While you can just as easily do this with our phone plan comparison tool, the tables below should offer a quick look at what most people are worried about here in Malaysia, the price. As such the tables below cover the Apple iPhone 6s with 16GB storage for 24 month contracts and the various Malaysian telcos that support 24 month contract periods. As always, we recommend you opening up our phone plan comparison tool for a more specific comparison according to your own specifications but the tables below should help you determine which plan bundle works best for you if price is your main concern.

    Maxis are now offering the Sony Xperia Z3 with a trade-in offer up to RM950. Certain smartphones like the Apple iPhone 5S or Samsung Galaxy S5 will get this rebate but even if you bring in a no-name phone it will still get a trade-in value of RM200 (as long as it is still working). Granted, you will have to sign up for a Maxis One plan for 24 months but you'll be able to get the Xperia Z3 from RM1499 which is quite a drop from the retail value of RM2399.     Maxis is also offering the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on pre-order. The iPhone 6 is available from as low RM659 while the iPhone 6 Plus can be had for as low as RM999. This is of course on a 24 month contract but you also have the option to sign up for a 12 month contract as well. As a bonus to Maxis fans and helping it stand out from the other telcos, Maxis will be offering their Midnight Express delivery service as well. In short, Maxis will select a few lucky users from their Pre-order list and send it to you on 6 November 2014 for FREE anywhere, as long as you put down the details in the Deliver Option field for the pre-order.     If you'd rather go for a Maxis postpaid plan for your new Apple iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, then do check out the Maxis Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-check page. Acting sort of like the usual registration of interest page, the pre-check page will allow Maxis to get in touch with you when it comes out. No news on a possible Malaysia release date or pricing just yet but DiGi have it coming on 7 November 2014 so it isn't all that far off in actuality. This is why Maxis are now offering the 6-inch display phablet from RM599. You will have to sign up for a 24-month contract for one of the MaxisONE plans but you still get limitless calls and SMS.     Maxis is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Alpha from RM1199. While this isn't the lowest subsidized pricing off of the current retail price of RM1899, it is on the MaxisONE postpaid plan which offers limitless calls and SMS. However, you will have to sign up for a 24 month contract. As a bonus loyal Maxis users who have had a year's worth of good payment and port-in users with good payments records for the past 3 months don't have to pay the advance payment.     After dropping the bundle pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S5 down to RM1199 with the Raya for Gaya promotion, Maxis are now offering a trade-in program as well for the Galaxy S5. Like the Apple iPhone 5S trade-in program, you can trade-in any phone but certain smartphones will get better discounts. The highest discount is with the Apple iPhone 5 which gives you a discount of RM1000, effectively lowering the price down to RM199. As usual, the offer is only valid for a 24-month contract and up until 31 August 2014 but for more details check the table and links in this article.

    In accordance with the retail price drop of the Samsung Galaxy S5 from RM2399 to RM2149, Maxis are now offering the smartphone at lower priced bundle deals. While you do get the smartphone under the new MaxisONE plans, you still have to sign up for a 24-month contract. Add the current "Raya Dengan Gaya" promotional discount and you can now get the Samsung Galaxy S5 from as low as RM1199. For more details check out the table and links in this article.

    Maxis now lets you trade in ANY smartphone for an Apple iPhone 5s

    Previously Maxis had a trade in program where you could trade in certain smartphones for the Apple iPhone 5s. With the impending release of the next Apple iPhone, Maxis are stepping it up by now accepting all smartphones. A minimum RM200 discount will be given for any smartphone traded in at any Maxis Centre or Maxis Exclusive Partner store in Malaysia. Higher-end or more valuable smartphones get better discounts. As before, this will be done on the Maxis iValue postpaid plan and you will have to sign up for a 24-month contract. Again, all you need to do is bring in the trade-in smartphone itself.     The Maxis ONEplan aims to offer a simple to understand and follow post-paid plan for new and existing Maxis users. Seeking to maintain this simplicity with their device bundles, Maxis have set the advance payment of a device retailing above RM400 to four months charge of either the ONEplan or ONEplan Lite while a device retailing below RM400 is only charged two months of either the ONEplan or ONEplan Lite plans. All advance payments are rebated into the customer's bills and loyal customers with more than 12 months on Maxis and who have a good credit record won't have to make these advance payments. So far, the device list includes the HTC One (M8), Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, HTC One (M7), Sony Xperia M2, Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, Huawei Ascend Y530 and the Xiaomi Mi 3.
