Sony Mobile is currently offering selected Xperia smartphones, tablets and accessories with various offers as part of it's Spring to a Great Start with Sony promotion. Available from 3 February to 17 February 2015, users can get extra gifts worth up to RM98 which include 16GB and 8GB microSD memory cards with free Limited Edition Xperia 2015 Chinese New Year Shirts. These products include the Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia Z2, Xperia C3, Xperia E3, Xperia M2, Xperia M2 Aqua and Xperia T3 and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Sony recently announced the Limited Edition variants of its Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact with unique design inscriptions on the back plate of each of the three devices. The designs are inspired by architecture from Berlin, Tokyo and Warsaw. Each device will have a design based on one of the above mentioned city's architecture. The Xperia Z3's back plate will be inspired by Berlin, the Xperia Z3 Compact by Tokyo and finally, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact by Warsaw's architecture. It is said that three different designers gathered each of the city's landmarks and inscribed them onto the phone's back plate. There are 33 Limited Edition models of the above devices, but they probably won't be available outside of Germany. The regular variants of all the three models had a Malaysia release date around two months back. The flagship Xperia Z3 is priced at RM2399, the Z3 Compact at RM1899 and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact at RM1669. Sony is giving out freebies up till 4 January 2015 on a number of its smartphones and tablets including these three devices. Some of the freebies included an 8GB microSD card, SBH20 stereo Bluetooth headset, KFC Vouchers and a gadget stand. 

The Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact are now available in Malaysia with the Xperia Z3 retail price going for RM2399 while the Xperia Z3 Compact is going for RM1899. The new Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact offer a number of refreshed tech specs and features over their predecessors which include a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and higher rated iP67 water proof certification. Awesome tech specs like the 20.7MP rear camera and thin design remain the same though. However, recent benchmark tests have revealed that the new Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact now offer much better battery life than many other competing smartphones. The newly released Sony Xperia Z3 Compact offers a number of great tech specs and features in a small package that can easily fit into your pocket. While these features include the 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM and 20.7MP rear camera with IP67 water proofing, it turns out that the 2600 mAh battery is also worthy of praise. This is because recent battery life benchmarks place the Xperia Z3 Compact around the top in terms of battery life on single charge. At 10 hours or so of continuous heavy usage, the Xperia Z3 Compact can easily last 2 days without having to charge on normal usage. Checking out the competition, it easily beats the much larger Apple iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and even it's bigger brother the Sony Xperia Z3. The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have already arrived in the US and other select markets. Another day, another bit of information on the still unrevealed tech specs for the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones. As we wait for 19 September 2014 when those who have ordered their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus will get them and no doubt reveal all the tech specs, it turns out that both smartphones will come packing 1GB of RAM and have cameras that protrude or stick out from the super thin metal casing. Despite all the leaked images, Sony has finally revealed it's latest Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones along with the Sony Xperia E3. Just a few more hours before the Sony IFA 2014 reveal and nice looking press renders of the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact have appeared. While the Xperia Z3 doesn't look that different in terms of design, it could be bringing some refreshed hardware but even then, this is limited to the processor and a few other tech specs. From the press renders, the Xperia Z3 could also be offering a number of different colour options including black, copper gold, jade green and white. The Xperia Z3 Compact may also come in black, green, red and white with the only difference being the smaller 4.5-inch or 4.6-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and smaller battery. The refreshed 2.5GHZ Snapdargon 801 processor and 20.7MP rear camera should remain the same. Both are rumoured to have a higher water certification standard perhaps at IP68. Still no Malaysia release dates or pricing, but we should know more in the next 10 or so hours.
