Recently, officials in India have arrested 10 university students for playing the widely popular game Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile. Gujarat, a state in India enforces the ban stating that the game is heavily influential, promoting violence as well as causes students to not focus on their studies.

The controversial ban did meet with a few concerns, such as the prospect of this ban being carried out in other states of India potentially putting off users from mobile gaming entirely. This is due to the fact that smartphones and data plans are getting more and more affordable with new users joining the world wide web community by the millions.

PUBG Mobile is a battle royale genre of mobile game that has amassed more than 12 million installed on the Google Play store and the iOS App Store. The main objective of the game is to eliminate all the other players, using various weapons ranging from Pistols to Snipers and be the last squad or player standing.
