Recently, officials in India have arrested 10 university students for playing the widely popular game Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile. Gujarat, a state in India enforces the ban stating that the game is heavily influential, promoting violence as well as causes students to not focus on their studies.
The controversial ban did meet with a few concerns, such as the prospect of this ban being carried out in other states of India potentially putting off users from mobile gaming entirely. PUBG Mobile is a battle royale genre of mobile game that has amassed more than 12 million installed on the Google Play store and the iOS App Store.
