Local Government Development Ministry (KPKT) Minister has announced that a total of 1488 residents of the People’s Housing Project (PPR) Taman Bagan Jaya will get free 30Mbps internet access for a 9-month period beginning this February. Its Minister, Nga Kor Ming asserted that this initiative is under the Jendela@PPR programme which will overall benefit 30 PPR projects nationwide.

That amounts to 13,218 housing units and 53,000 B40 group households. The initiative would install fibre optic cables, routers and modems in each housing unit for the 30Mbps internet service.
