Based on a statement by Redmi’s product director on Weibo, it seems that there will be 2 variants of the Redmi K40 that will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Other than what was mentioned, there is no exact information in regards to the exact variant that will come equipped with the aforementioned chipset.
As far as we know, the Redmi K40 series is expected to come equipped with a hole-punch notch, high refresh rate display, as well as up to 5000mAh internal battery. Pricing-wise, we can expect the series to be priced from RMB2999 (~RM1870) for the base model.
However, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that the manufacturers of Redmi have yet to provide an official statement on the leak. Not only that, but there’s also no news on the Malaysia release date, local pricing, and exact tech specs for now.
