Sony is back once again with its 2018 Sony World Photography Awards, in case you're wondering what is that - it's one of the world's leading photography competitions and it's also now open for entries, allowing any free submissions at www.worldphoto.org. With this, the Malaysia National Award is open to photographers of all abilities from Malaysia.
To enter the National Awards, photographers must submit one image to the Open Competition. Photographers can enter any of the following ten categories:
- Architecture
- Culture
- Enhanced
- Motion
- Landscape & Nature
- Portraiture
- Still Life
- Street Photography
- Travel
- Wildlife
The winner of Malaysia National Award will be announced on March 2018. The prizes include:
- 1st Prize: α7R II, SEL2470Z and trip to Award Ceremony in London
- 2nd Prize: A6500 and SEL1670Z
- 3rd Prize: RX100 V
The winning image will be published in the annual Sony World Photography Awards’ winners book, the 2018 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition held in London in April-May 2018 and showcased online at www.worldphoto.org. Do note that your submitted photo work must be taken before 31 December 2017, the Open Competition (including National Awards) will close on Tuesday 4 January 2018.
