According to a recent report by Instant Digital on Weibo, iOS 27 will still support the iPhone 12 series and newer models. So, what should you know about it?
4 models could become obsolete
If this report is accurate, it means that the software lifecycle for four models, namely the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the second-generation iPhone SE (2020), will officially end. Even so, Apple will typically continue to release iOS 26 security patches for these devices for several more years.
4 models that might no longer support iOS 27:
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 Pro
- iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone SE (2020)
Moreover, Apple is scheduled to officially unveil iOS 27 during the WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8, 2026. The first beta version for developers will usually be released on the same day, followed by a public beta in July, before the stable version is released to all users around September.
