4G variant of Redmi K30 confirmed and will come with Snapdragon 730G chipset

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G is set to launch soon, but not before confirming that there will be a 4G variant as well. This is good news since 5G services are still not that widespread (especially in Malaysia) and they are bound to be expensive.

Lu Weibing, Xiaomi General Manager for the Redmi brand, announced this when he posted an image on Weibo. While some may be hoping that the device will feature the new non-5G Snapdragon 765 chipset, rumours suggest that it's more likely it will run on a Snapdragon 730G chipset instead. Aside from that, it's expected to have similar tech specs with the 5G variant, including 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

This variant would be the preferred one for a Malaysian launch, but what say you? Tell us if you'd buy this if it becomes available here. For more tech news, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
