Trying to find a very thin smartphone in the midrange market can be quite difficult (unless you're willing to try out the Huawei Ascend P6 and others) but Sony has added one such thin midrange smartphone to the market with the announcement of the Sony Xperia T3. At just 7mm thin, the smartphone offers a uniquely sized 5.3-inch Triluminos IPS display with 720p pixel resolution. The display also uses the Sony Bravia Engine 2 while the overall phone design follows the Sony OmniBalance super thin slate with metal sidings school of design. Keeping the costs down, the back is not tempered glass but is instead matte plastic with a choice of either black, purple or white.

Other tech specs include a quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, up to 32GB microSD support, 4G LTE and 3G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, A-GPS and a 2500 mAh battery. The Xperia T3 will come with Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box along with WiFi, Miracast and DLNA. On the camera side, the T3 will offer an 8MP Sony Exmor RS sensor for the rear camera that includes features like Superior Auto, AR effects, Steady Shot stabilization, Social live and tracking autofocus. The front camera will have a 1.1MP sensor. No news yet on Malaysia release dates or pricing so stay tuned for more details.
