According to a study conducted by King's College London, three of the world’s leading AI models were used, and in most simulations, they recommended nuclear strikes. So, what should you know about it?

AI will do whatever it takes to win

For your information, a war simulation study was conducted using GPT-5.2, Claude Sonnet 4, and Gemini 3 Flash. A total of 21 war simulations were conducted, and in 95% of the simulations, one of the AIs would use nuclear weapons to defeat the enemy.

Moreover, weapons were still used even when diplomatic options were given as a solution. The AI did not take the option to heed the enemy's demands or surrender, even in a situation where it would lose. The results of this study are frightening because Google's AI models and xAI are now being used by the US military under the GenAI.mil initiative.

Besides that, AI is taking aggressive steps to win, even if it means the harm of nuclear weapons. Now that’s a scary thing to ponder. If you are interested to read more about the study, you can visit the site here.
