Gaming addiction is not a new thing but it's certainly a concern across the world. From all the way in India, a youngster (aged 16) unfortunately passed away for having a marathon on PUBG (note: not PUBG Mobile) for an unknown period of time.

The cause of death? Not eating or drinking anything at all. With that, the youngster soon got dehydrated and got rushed to a private hospital. According to IndiaTV, he also developed serious diarrhoea and had to take the surgery on the spot but didn't survive. At this point, many would point fingers at the game's fault for the cause of death but the case of diarrhoea seems out of place.

There have been a few tragic cases in India this year, there was a 25-year old man who passed away from playing PUBG Mobile after a long period of time due to brain stroke. On the other hand, there was another man who couldn't move his limbs (right arm and leg) when playing the game and it was a case of intracerebral haemorrhage. Due to that condition, he too passed away from that.

These are just a few cases from India. If the country continues this trend, the India government might follow China's footsteps in implementing gaming time limit restrictions with facial and name verification. Games are fun and all but we strongly recommend the gamers to take care of their health first, the games aren't going anywhere and you only live once.
