The CEO of Nubia, Ni Fei is here to drop a bomb on us again by revealing a feature from their future device on Weibo. Earlier, he had posted on the Chinese social media platform regarding the 144Hz display on the Nubia Red Magic 5G. Now, another post from him hints that a device will be getting an 80W fast charging support, and we suspect it to be the Red Magic 5G as well.
In the post, Ni Fei shared an image of a phone charging with some other details and statistics showing on the screen. From the information, we can see that the voltage sits at 8.4 volts and the current is at 9.6A, which means the charging rate can go up to 80W.
80W is not that impressive compared to the 100W announced by Xiaomi earlier. The technology is being called Super Charge Turbo by Xiaomi, and it can allow a device with 4000mAh battery to be fully charged in just 17 minutes. However, the 80W fast charging is not far from 100W and it is expected to perform better than most of the devices’ charging capabilities.
