Leaks on upcoming devices are pretty common in the tech industry but look like someone got into trouble for doing so. According to an online Korean media news outlet, a Samsung Electronics employee got arrested for allegedly leaking confidential information.

The arrest was made recently and the employee is currently under investigation for violating the company's policy of information protection rules. It's not confirmed yet on what type of information has been compromised but sources say it could be Samsung's chipset processes.

Moreover, the Samsung spokesperson also said the employee was going to resign from the company soo and was accused of taking photos of confidential information about the chipsets while working from home. Screenshots were not possible to the blockage by the database system, so he allegedly used a phone to capture it.

According to several reports, the employee may have snapped hundreds of trade secrets intending to share them with an unknown competitor. It could include an advanced semiconductor manufacturing process for 5nm or 3nm chipsets. No comments were shared by the spokesperson about that. Stay tuned for more trending tech news TechNave.com.
