It seems that around 1.3 million user’s public data might have been spotted on a hacker forum very recently. While there were speculations going around stating that Clubhouse had a data breach, Clubhouse themselves debunked the rumour stating that they were not hacked and data from these users were already public information which is visible as long as you view the user’s profile via the app.
With that being said, only information such as ID, name, photo URL, username, Twitter handle, Instagram handle, and follower numbers were only included in the compilation. However, if you’re still concerned about the safety of your information, you could always change your password just in case.
This is misleading and false. Clubhouse has not been breached or hacked. The data referred to is all public profile information from our app, which anyone can access via the app or our API. https://t.co/I1OfPyc0Bo
