While there is still no official news about the Sony PlayStation 5 price in Malaysia yet, we happened to come across RinggitPlus' Facebook campaign post about the next-gen gaming console. According to the post, the PS5 Digital Edition is worth RM1660.

This is an odd situation because Sony Malaysia nor PlayStation Asia have officially announced the local price for the upcoming PS5 Digital Edition, as well as for the standard version. For comparison, the digital version costs $399.99 which is roughly around ~RM1653 after direct currency conversion and that isn't far off (but inaccurate, of course). As for the standard version, this one cost $499.99 (~RM2066).

We have no idea how RinggitPlus managed to get the "price" when no other local media have any official news about it. For all we know, it could very well be a blooper because they also mistook Malaysia to be part of the global launch which is on 12 November 2020 as seen in the comments. Besides the price, there's no official local news about when the PS5 would arrive here for all we know is that from 19 November onwards, the rest of the world would be next in line (depending on region).

Nonetheless, the RM1660 price tag does give us a good idea of the price range. A PS4 Pro Bundle with God of War and The Last of Us is RM1799 so it isn't that far fetched. Until then, stay tuned for the official PS5 local price tag at TechNave.com.
