A man found his lost Nokia 3310 with 70% battery left after 20 years

Call it as a miracle, but a man from Ellesmere Port in the United Kingdom, named Kevin Moody has found his lost and beloved Nokia 3310 mobile phone. He was just clearing out his drawer looking for a key and found the phone with just over 70% battery left.

It gets better, according to Kevin, he told the reporters that he actually forgot about the phone and just left it in the drawer for 20 years. He remarked that he didn't recall when was the last time he charged the phone, or even owning a charger. This is unlike our smartphone nowadays which we charge daily, but perhaps there is a key to battery life longevity?

This has gotten the attention of Dr Ivor Bignob, a professor at Cheshire College saying that the Nokia 3310 battery is quite unusual and believed that there is a potential that it can power up a city. Of course, that was just a hypothesis and instead of making new smartphones, he suggests that Nokia should just focus on renewable energy. On the other hand, conspiracy theorists believe that the disappearance of the Nokia 3310 is due to blackmail threats from the fossil fuel industry.

If you've read until the end of this news, and still think it's a joke. Well, it is obviously a joke written by the Chester Bugle (as they are a satirical website). But hey, some good laugh at the end of Friday, yes? #TGIF and stay tuned for more tech memes at TechNave.com.
