OnePlus has just launched the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z globally on 14 April. Today, a new teaser image was posted on the official OnePlus Mobile Weibo account hinting another mysterious device will be launching alongside the OnePlus 8 series later this evening in China.

The teaser image a white box that is clearly a retail package for a phone with a question mark on top and a caption that said: “If there’s a mysterious new product at the launch event tomorrow, what do you think it will be?”. The white box seems to be smaller than the new OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro retail boxes and it is expected to be the most anticipated OnePlus Z or OnePlus 8 lite.

The OnePlus Z is rumored to have a smaller 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate display with a centered punch-hole selfie camera. It is expected to be equipped with a 48MP triple camera setup on the rear and a 4000mAh battery capacity supported by the 30W Warp Charge. As for the chipset, it may come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 processor. This explained why it is launching in China but not during the global launch because of Chinese phone buyers are more receptive by MediaTek processors.

Either way, there’s no official confirmation and local pricing on the mysterious device yet. So do take this with a pinch of salt and let us know what do you think the mysterious phone will be at our Facebook page and stay tuned for more news updates on TechNave.com!
