Today, our Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar just announced a new website about travelling protocols amid the pandemic. Launched as covidprotocol.moh.gov.my, the web portal's purpose is to facilitate Malaysians and travellers entering in and out of the country.

Upon entering the website, you will see five options and you can toggle the language between Bahasa Malaysia and English. Depending on your status, you can choose either one and a set of instructions will be given to you as per protocol. For now, it's a pretty simple web portal but it will be updated from time to time in the future.

Since Malaysians and travellers can now fly overseas freely starting from 1 April 2022, Khairy mentioned that travellers who are in quarantine will be released on 1 April as well. Foreigners who have not received a complete vaccination shot must undergo a 5-day quarantine after arriving in Malaysia.

Children and teenagers who are 17 years old and below don't need to undergo quarantine, even if they aren't vaccinated or not. However, an RTK Covid-19 test must be done within 24 hours beforehand. Finally, individuals who can't have any vaccination due to health reasons must upload proof of exemption from the MySejahtera app that is officiated by a medical officer.
