Of all the things from Bethesda, we never expect to see a mobile game from the company, particularly Doom. From the announcement, it will be called Mighty Doom and will be launching in selected countries on 21 March 2023.
Interestingly, Might Doom was designed as a vertical top-down arcade shooter and was developed by Alpha Dog Games. You will be playing as the mini version of Doom Slayer going out to rescue his pet rabbit, Daisy (lol) from the mini monsters and demons. From the aesthetics in the trailer below, it actually looks like a load of fun.
Similarly to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal's fast pace gameplay style, Mighty Doom will also have a "fast and frenetic arcade action" and to make it accessible for the mass audience, the mobile game utilises on a one-touch control scheme. In a way, it functions like a rogue-like game like Vampire Survivors mobile where you just run around killing stuff.
Not much information was given, but you will be able to upgrade your gears and unlock legendary weapons and abilities. We are pretty sure there would be some microtransaction features going on since there is crystal currency advertised there. Anyway, it will be available on iOS and Android devices and you can visit the pre-registration page here.
Pre-registering Mighty Doom will earn you the Mini Slayer Pack bundle. If you happen to be a member of the Slayers Club, you can get another bonus reward if you link your game to your existing account. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
