A new email domain by Elon Musk? It is apparently "on the list of things to do", according to Musk when a designer on Twitter X made a mock-up image of XMail. Apparently, it's not the first time Musk mentioned it, as he said "It's coming" way back in February this year.

Nothing much is known about XMail, but sources say that the potential new email platform could have a direct message-style interface without the formatting and threads. This could offer a potential secure end-to-end encryption service. For your information, X already has some degree of direct messaging encryption.

The idea of Xmail seems to have gained much interest from the community and may even convince users to switch from Gmail. At the same time, there are also other users who are sceptical of XMail, saying there's no need for another email service since Gmail has been around for so long. Overall, users are divided over XMail.

But what do you think of having a new XMail platform? Would you sign up for it if Elon Musk officially launched it? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
