Based on a statement by Gizmochina.com, it seems that Huawei is expected to unveil a new and improved Huawei Mate X smartphone during MWC 2020 next year. The device is expected to come with several improvements such as a better chipset, a more durable screen and hinge mechanism.

Based on our assumptions, next year’s Huawei Mate X will most likely come equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset along with the Balong 5000 5G modem. However, we are unsure whether Huawei plans on upgrading other aspects of the foldable device and whether the price will be the same as this year’s Mate X.

With all that said, do take every bit of information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Huawei has yet to provide an official statement in regards to the smartphone in question. Not only that, but there’s also no official news in regards to the Malaysia release date and local pricing for now.
