A rendered video of the Huawei Mate X2 appears online as a "mini-laptop" and more

There isn't much information regarding the rumoured Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone, the last time that we read Huawei submitting a design patent was back in February this year. Well, someone just made a rendered video of the device and posted it up on bilibili.com.

Shared by @DSCCRoss, the rendered Mate X2 is based on past information on how it would look like and it looks quite sleek (if it's true). From the video, it looks like the Mate X2 could follow the Samsung Galaxy Fold's way of opening inwards instead of outwards, but retaining the Mate X body build. It seems to suggest that the device could turn into a "mini-laptop" and feature a stylus (alongside a stylus slot).

The camera module could be placed on the secondary screen which also shows other information like the time, weather, incoming notifications and calls, and even an in-display fingerprint sensor. While there's no information on long is the front display, but the Mate X2 could measure 8.03-inch when unfolded and that's kinda big. But then again, we have to take account on the virtual keyboard taking up half of the display.

It's best to take the rendered video with a pinch of salt but what do you think of the Mate X2 design? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending gadget news at TechNave.com.
