A woman driver got stuck at a palm oil estate because of Waze

If you often use Waze, there's a good chance that the software will bring you to weird places and shortcuts to a designated location. While drivers usually get through the shortcuts, a woman was unfortunately stuck in her car around a palm oil estate yesterday morning at 8AM, just because Waze told her to.

Not to say that Waze specifically asked her to get stuck in a puddle of mud, but while receiving instructions from Waze, her car just unfortunately got stuck while navigating her way to her customer's house. The palm oil estate was in Bandar Saujana Putra and she was rescued by the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Fire and Rescue Department crew. According to the Deputy Operation Director of the Fire and Rescue Department, Norizham Mohd Nudin, he said:

“The woman was from Ulu Yam and she used the navigation app to go to her customer’s house before she got lost at the palm oil estate. After getting into a muddy path, her car got stuck and she decided to call the fire and rescue department,”

He said the crew got the call at 8.36AM and the Teluk Panglima Garang Fire and Rescue Station sent a six-man team to the rescue. Thankfully, she was brought out of the car safely.

Looking at the pictures, the car is definitely not suitable for that kind of terrain but I guess that didn't cross her mind, as she should have driven a four-wheeler. Well, at least she's ok now. But what about you? Has Waze brought you to a sticky situation before? Let us know in the comments below!
