AEON Bank app announced as Malaysia's first Islamic Digital Bank

Following the news of GX Bank releasing its physical GX Card to the masses, AEON just shortly announced its own AEON Bank app registration on its Facebook page. Read on below to know what you need to know about AEON Bank. 

Like GX Bank, AEON Bank is another digital banking business by AEON in Malaysia. It has a Digital bank license and is one of the two Islamic bank license holders in Malaysia. You can start downloading the AEON Bank app from the Apple App or Google Play Store and follow the steps to become an AEON Bank user.

In the app, you can create your savings account-i with a personalised account number (number availability based on a first come first serve basis), monitor your spending habits, do fund transfers and payments, and earn profit rates. Each depositor can put as much as RM250,000 with PIDM protection. 

Moreover, you can also put in some savings in a Savings Pot section. This can be applied to housing, travel and many others. In your savings, you can also earn some profit rates over time and create multiple pots at a time. DuitNow service is also available on the AEON Bank app.
