According to Google, they've found that most of their users have gotten used to the new additions of AI and Gemini to Google Search and are now asking longer and more complex questions. They say that 5 trillion searches annually are now complemented enough by AI Overviews and AI Mode that the rate of irrelevant ads has been reduced by 40%.
What does this mean for the future?
Basically, this means that AI Overviews and AI Mode in Google Search are here to stay. The next step is obviously Agentic AI with plans for AI Agents that can monitor prices and do the shopping for you which is currently being tested in the US (called Direct Offers).

Google maintains that they will continue to "Do the right thing" (which is Google's current mantra or slogan), respecting the privacy of their users and providing ads that we might actually find useful. At the same time, advertisers may also find new opportunities with new AI Ad tools.
What do you think? Have ads in Google Search become more relevant for you? Is it Yay or Nay for you on AI Overviews and AI Mode in Google Search? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com
